Who's Who in Kitchen Sink
Who's Who in Kitchen Sink
Board Treasurer
Lorri grew up in Oregon, earned a bachelor’s degree at University of Idaho, and began a master’s in teaching wildland fire behavior for use in regenerating ecosystems. In 1996, the program didn’t transfer when she chose marriage in Minnesota, but her passion and joy for igniting potential energy did. She focused it on family and community. From 2010-2018 she served on PRAHSA’s Leadership Team, taught high school sciences, and assisted theatre productions. In 2016 she joined the board of Northern Light Opera Company, and guided by NLOC and Brainerd theatre directors, became a stage manager (akin to lifeguarding a pool for 6-8 weeks, then piloting several consecutive spine-tingling space missions!). She enjoys studying design essentials, script analysis, and character development from both the technical and acting sides of the table. She appreciates theatre's power to activate us, and is grateful for the opportunity to work with Frankie, Faith, and this amazing Board of Directors to establish KSP Inc...and see what happens!
Board Secretary
Faith grew up doing theatre in the Park Rapids area. She continues to grow as an artist by creating opportunities, such as Kitchen Sink Productions and film production company Band Of Misfits, for herself and others to have a safe space to play in a variety of mediums. Seeing artistic growth in her community is what keeps Faith coming back to this artform—an artform that seems to take much of her free time and sanity. While Faith very much enjoys acting, directing (in all mediums) is where her passion lies. As one of the co-founders of Kitchen Sink Productions, she hopes that it will bring much opportunity for all kinds of artists in our community.
Board Chair
Frankie grew up in Menahga, MN, and has been involved in the local arts community most of her life. She trained in classical dance for 11 years, and performed in many plays and musicals throughout high school and into adulthood. Her passion for the arts led her to train at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York for two years, from which she received an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies in 2023. Recently, she has worked on a number of local film projects with her sister-in-law and co-founder, Faith.
Board Vice Chair
Laura has served as the Executive Director of the Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center for 9 years, leading the team in providing programming and employment opportunities for adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and pervasive mental illness. She believes that the arts provide an opportunity to engage and inspire creativity that helps build social and other skills. Laura has been on the board of Northern Light Opera Company and supports theater as a way to bring the community together. She hopes her experience in nonprofit management will help Kitchen Sink Productions thrive.
Board Member
Stephanie brings to the table a life-long love of all things theatre. She's dabbled in acting, writing, and directing. Her children grew up with many opportunities to be involoved in theatre as well. Stephanie enjoys seeing people grow during the process of working on a show, and then seeing the finished product is like icing on the cake.
Board Member
Nate grew up here in Park Rapids, MN. He earned his B.A., Emphasis in Painting, through Minnesota State University of Moorhead and is working on his SPED teaching license and master’s through Bemidji State University. He is married to the most beautiful woman, Stacy. They have 3 children, 3 cats, and one dog. For years he has been trying to excite and inspire people of all backgrounds to realize art doesn’t have to be in a gallery, and it’s for everyone. When he’s not hanging out with his family, you can find him “arting” it up in some form or another—instructing “paint-n-sip” classes around the area (i.e., “Paint with Nate”), or attending shows to live paint the musicians while they perform onstage. He loves all forms of art and believes everyone should have access to them and be able to express themselves without prejudice. He joined Kitchen Sink Productions to advocate for the arts and the artists who create them.
